At our end-of-year AGM on Nov. 03, 2024, a vote was held to determine the future of DARA's membership.
The special resolution proposed that the current membership roll (i.e., active 2024 members) would be held going forward, and that our surplus funds be held in reserve for the construction of a new DARA facility.
The membership voted unanimously in favour of the motion. The resolution also committed to holding a membership vote on the suitability of any new location, and to holding meetings with membership when needed (noting that, at a minimum, there would be an annual general meeting held in October, 2025).
Communications with Members
As the search for a new location continues, the DARA board of directors will communicate to members via email on relevant updates, and seek input where appropriate.
